How do I reach the Venue?

Traveling from London
For international or domestic arrivals flying into London hubs like Heathrow (LHR) or Gatwick (LGW), your journey to Wales begins by traveling into central London to London Paddington station via the London Underground, Heathrow Express, or Gatwick Express. From Paddington, you will board a direct Great Western Railway (GWR) train. This is a highly scenic, comfortable route that takes approximately three hours and brings you straight into Swansea Railway Station.
Traveling from Cardiff
If you fly into Cardiff Airport (CWL), your journey is much shorter. Directly outside the terminal, you can catch the dedicated airport shuttle bus, which provides a brief ride to the Rhoose Cardiff International Airport Railway Station. From Rhoose, board a Transport for Wales train. Depending on the exact timetable, this train will connect through either Bridgend or Cardiff Central station, where you will transfer to a westbound train that concludes at Swansea Railway Station.
The Final Leg: Swansea Station to the Computational Foundry
Once both routes converge at Swansea Railway Station, the Bay Campus is easily accessible. While you can hail a taxi, taking the local bus is the most common and budget-friendly method.
You will want to catch the First Bus University Services (specifically routes 90 or 92). For the smoothest experience, it is highly recommended that you download the First Bus app to your smartphone before you arrive. The app provides real-time bus tracking, exact route maps, and the ability to purchase digital tickets in advance.
If you prefer not to buy a digital ticket on the app, you don’t need to worry about having cash or exact change. The First Cymru buses feature a seamless “Tap On / Tap Off” contactless payment system (international debit/credit card accepted). Simply tap your contactless debit card, credit card, or mobile wallet on the reader when boarding the bus, and tap it again on the reader as you exit. The system will automatically calculate and charge you the correct, capped fare for your journey.
The bus will drop you off directly at the Bay Campus transit hub, located just east of the residence buildings. From there, the Computational Foundry is a very short, clearly signposted walk across the campus.
